Long overdue review. My husband grew up in Norwood and wanted to show me the best chicken salad place that he knew. Whoa! He was right, they 're perfect! Anytime we are even close to Norwood, we go out of our way to swoop in and grab some sandwiches. The owner is wicked nice and cares about his customers too! I was having a rough day recently, and REALLY NEEDED a D&G chicken salad sandwich.. I wasn 't even thinking about what time it was, and when we arrived at D&G, we discovered it had closed 3 minutes before we got there. I had a really dramatic meltdown in the car, and somehow the owner saw this. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a friendly guy waving me in; was the owner! He hooked me up with a sandwich and TRULY saved the day. Thanks D&G! See ya soon!

the chicken salad is ridiculous, the steak and the cheese is the real gem, but just don't ask for additional cheese! You put seven slices on how it is. perfectly cooked steak, perfect amount of cheese, but much they actually put on it. I'll taste it right away. Great service with a smile always, thanks

Very friendly staff.... always great steak and cheese bomb and chicken salad... fun place to test your knowledge on the quiz board, win a few stars when you are right... I get 2 subs and split each chicken and steak... all sandwiches are freshly opened 9 am to 3 pm daily made

I want to stop today. My brother Franny departs from Jamaica Plain to buy the famous chicken salad for him and our mother, which is 93 Yrs and an incredible cook. She knows the quality of food when she tastes it and she both rave over D

Had a great steakn cheese sub and got some chicken salad. You have the best chicken salad around when you are in the area, give them an attempt to some chicken salad for dinner or lunch the next day, you will not be disappointed.
