"The only place we came back to eat twice on this holiday. The steaks were superb as are the pizzas and pastas with over 50 choices on the menu. Service was excellent and very polite helpful waiters. A hidden gem!"

We ordered chicken soup and it looked like a prepared sachet and a pizza bella napoli which was a frozen dough that was still cold with a bunch of raw ingredients on top. All pretty bad. But the worst thing was that they tried to rip us off with the ticket, they didn't show it to us and when we took it out of their hands they had charged us for several things we hadn't ordered! Very unpresentable. Do not go!
Having eaten here before on our regular visits to candelaria we decided to try Canio again. Service is prompt and polite. Food is very good value and our pizzas were very well priced at around 9 euro. It's a very family orientated restaurant which is obviously very well patronised by the locals English is very sparsely spoken here. All in all a good value restaurant Prof D
Eduardo was amazing, very attentive and good with english, kept drinks topped up at all times accompanied with a friendly smile. We both got steak, was lovely (a little under-seared) but was cooked fine regardless. Sauces worked well with our meal and to top it off, limoncello was the perfect palate cleanse. Can’t go wrong.
Disappointed that they didn't have any of the 4 white wines I tried to order from their menu, settled for a red as it seemed easier for them. The capricciosa salad was fine and plenty for 2. The escalope milanesa was dull, the risotto was tasty but wasn't short grain rice, which was a bit odd. Wouldn't recommend.
