I can absolutely recommend a visit at Claudio's for anyone staying in Heringsdorf. The chef, Claudio, only cooks what he can make out of fresh local ingredients and it's obvious that he has a passion for good Italian food. The menu is hand-written and changes...seasonally, depending on what's freshly available. I had Ravioli filled with Spinach and Ricotta, even though I usually don't like spinach. The dish was served with a butter truffle sauce and it was delicious. My sister had sliced beef with risotto, which was also very tasty. Da Claudio is a small restaurant. Thus in season, reservations are essential. And tables are very close to each other. So if you want your conversations to be private, this is not your place. The menu at Da Claudio is handwritten and focuses on a...very interesting choice of appetizers and pasta, plus 2 mains from the daily menu. The portions are ok. If you are hungry, you could order 2 appetizers and one pasta or one appetizer and one main. But most will be happy with just an appetizer and pasta. The quality of the food is excellent. This is not your touristy German style Italian, but quite close to authentic Italian fare. The service is quick, friendly and professional and prices moderate....
Very warm welcome by the owner and cosy atmosphere. Thereafter everything got worse. Food price/quality only just acceptable. Service fast, but unfriendly. After 90 minutes after 3 course diner, while enjoying coffee digestive, we were, by supprise, pressed to pay the bill immediately and...leave the restaurant, because of another reservation. Mastercard was not accepted. For the both of us and the observing family at the neighbouring table it felt shameful and for our last night memory of Heringsdorf it felt like a robbery of 90€. Even the simple Fischer-hütte und Kneipe which we frequented for lunch were in comparison to this experience like heaven.
we were recommended this Italian restaurant by the locals and the quality of eating was great. fresh, quantity was great for the price, wine selection also good. but the starters were very overpriced. the service was unfortunately not great. we felt rather hurrying and there was...absolutely no interest in a small conversation with us. The Corona regulations were not kept by others than the cook. very disappointing, especially as the numbers increase. the chef who is also the owner came out several times to ask his guests whether everything was in order, what I thought had a great note. very small and fine eating.

Great restaurant: best italian food cooked with high quality products. Pasta is the specialty of this small restaurant. We shrared first a cheese and har with rucula and pinenuts plate, then had ricotta ravioli and black pasta with shrimps and shared a creme brule with...banana icecream and an espresso; we only drank mineral water. Everything was very delicious and we spent 60 € for 2 persons. Service is very good too. You need to make a reservation at least 2 days before during summer, because theu only have 14 places inside and maximum 8 outside. Not to be missed!
we followed the TripAdvisor recommendations and had luck getting the last table available. reservations very recommended as a very small place. something away from the hectic of the beach, there is claudio in a beautiful next street with small shops and boutiques. beautiful and personal staff, small menu with daily recommendations. no pizza! (which is beautiful) we had carcinoma salad, vitello tonnato and homemade pasta with truffles. desserts are a must here.
I looked this restaurant up to have birthday dinner with the family. We had a a great evening and enjoyed the service and the food very much. The waiters are friendly and were explaining the specials and every dish in great detail. The food was...excellent.
amazing fresh homemade pasta! in our 2nd visit (in a week) we have skipped the starter and taken 1 pasta for everyone, and 1 for tortellini, cannelloni and captivating are so perfect. they would be highly recommended!

A small and cosy restaurant. Only 14 seats inside. Reserve in advance! Interesting handwritten menu. The pasta was perfectly cooked (spaghetti with shrimps) and the dessert (sorbet with prosecco) was delicious.
