Da Nico - Ristorante

We found this little restaurant in this little village near Wiesbaden called Wallau on google map and was delighted that we stopped there for the evening. No one seemed to speak English as they probably weren't used to stopping tourists there for a... meal But we can understand enough German and Italian to order what we wanted. The food was absolutely delicious, probably the best Italian food we came across in our 15 day tour of Baden Wurttemberg. Be sure to see it when in Wiesbaden-Nordenstadt.

Located in old town Wallau. Stays open late and has a good client base. They were busy on a Thursday night. Many daily specials. Friendly staff. I enjoyed my tortellini alla panna and glass of house wine. Fairly priced. My son ordered gnocchi, but didn’t...think the sauce was very flavorful. I did order dessert. It was tiramisu. The presentation was very nice, but I will not order again. Overall, some food was really good, the place was pleasant,staff friendly and I will be visiting again!

Ich wollte mit meiner Freundin einen schönen Abend verbringen und wir entschieden uns, mal das Nico auszuprobieren. Der Vorspeisenteller war wirklich lecker. Leider haben uns die Hauptgänge nicht überzeugt. Des Weiteren war die Leistung des Personals durchwachsen. Eine Bedienung war sehr freundlich und nett. Eine andere behandelte uns eher wie ein unnötiges Übel. Stammgäste werden sicherlich zuvorkommend behandelt. Vielleicht war es ein schlechter Tag.

When one finds themselves in Wallau, as one occasionally does of course, then by means eat at Da Nico! Very good fresh Italian. I might opt for the pastas over the pizza but that is only recommendation. Specials are great. Note that they only take cash and German bank cards. Decor is very good with nice outdoor patio and the owner is the best very warm and personable, truly makes you feel like family.

Italian restaurant In Wallau, 1 km of Ikea. From the outside it looks more like a diner, but inside it's more cosy than you would expect. We had salad with Beef, which was good Quality. The Prices are a little bit higher than what is...common in this area. In Hessen, the province around Frankfurt, one can have lunch for around 8-12 Euro's.

WOW! That was an amazing meal! And we did the entire exchange in German ; The gnocchi was super fresh with fresh mozzarella and fresh basil on top oh my word. My husband got the calzone and it was delicious too. It was also quick (we were in and out in a half our due to a crazy day . Definitely going back for a more leisurely meal!

Dieser Restaurant im Wallau bietet typische italienische Speisen, die man ja kennt - Pizza, Pasta, Bruschetta & co aber mehr auch nicht. Für ein Abendessen, wenn man selber kein Bock aufs Kochen hat, reicht vollkommen aus. mehr ist das auch nicht. Preise: 2 Vorspeisen, 2 Hauptspeisen mit Getränken (kein Alkohol) ca. 40€

We ordered pizza for pickup, and despite arriving 10 minutes before it was supposed to be ready, it was already sitting out in boxes. Needless to say that by the time we got it back home to eat, it was no longer warm. Might be...a single-time issue, and I would try it again.

Speisen waren wie immer super. Chef und Bedienungen (seit Jahren Stammpersonal) wie immer super freundlich. Wir fühlen uns hier immer sehr wohl. Im Sommer kann man auch sehr schön im Freien sitzen.
