Saturday afternoon, bad weather and the five of us walked to the daRasso restaurant to get something to eat. In the back in the corner there is a free table for 4 people, the buffet on the windowsill (5 chairs) is also free. As soon as we greeted the service lady, we realized we weren 't welcome here (it was because of the stroller, it was because of our hiking clothes). When we asked to come for something to eat, we were told in an extremely unfriendly manner that they had no space. When we asked if we could have something here at the window or at the bar, we were simply turned away with the reason: Everything is reserved, goodbye. We walked into this restaurant on our first night in Saas Fee and were pleasantly surprised with the modern casual setting with great lighting, comfortable seating options, lots of wood, leather and stone compliments. We ordered a carafe of local white wine (Heida) and both had pizza with the black crust. This is a revelation, absolutely a fan of the texture and freshness of the dough, plus toppings and some chilli oil, delicious! We have eaten here for 11 years and always had good food and service but this time was different. They have extensively renovated the restaurant and it is really nice so we were looking forward to a nice meal but service was slow initially to order and then food took over an hour to arrive. Even then one of the dishes was not what we ordered Hawaiian pizza instead of Margherita but we were so hungry we said leave it and took off the pineapple. They apologised but made no offer to compensate for the delay and wrong plate. This is yet another Saas Fee restaurant that is charging more for less and ignoring customer service now that business is picking up post-Covid. This is happening all over the village, a place we’ve been coming to for 17 years. We were charged CHF60 for two pizzas, which we asked for without the cured ham. When it came to paying, and we balked, rather than proposing an alternative (e.g we’ll charge you for a margarita plus rocket salad, which is what we essentially got) or charging less, 4 waitresses stood there shrugging and saying, you ordered that, we can’t do anything about that. Reading the experience of other diners, I hope management does something about training their staff on hospitality. Our hostess who served table 3 on 9.3.24 at 3pm was not only rude, she actually made fun of the fact that we did not speak German to the table next to us in front of our face. Among us we could speak English, French, Portuguese and Turkish. Maybe your staff at an international resort should at least have the courtesy to try communicate if they lack basic language skills to communicate in a second language.
We were there. Awful service. We waited 30 minutes to get menus. After 2! Hours the food still didn’t arrive. We were with small children and they offered nothing for them while we wait. At the end after complaining they got the order wrong. We were not willing to wait any second longer, paid for the drinks and left. I recommend avoiding this place. Unless you wish to spend your entire day waiting for your food. Seriously, how long does it take to prepare a pizza?
A modern, large and casual pizza/pasta joint smack bang in the middle of Saas Fee what's not to like. Good service and not too expensive, given the location. Topping it off was probably the best pizza I've ever had anywhere in the world (and I've had a few over the years! . Tasty, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented. I will return on my next visit to Saas Fee later in the season!
Nice atmosphere. Professional and effective service. We had a very excellent « linsenbowl » (a lentil bowl (warm dish). It is a perfect vegan option delicious, original, super healthy. Filled with surprising ingredients. Highly recommended dish for those who want to eat 100% healthy.

I had tomato soup and vegan bowl and both was really nice. Only think what I did not like was that we were waiting little more than expected (but we were hungry . On the other side i think that meal was fesh so it is better to wait little longer.
In the centre of Saas-Fee. Very tasty but expensive (local prices). Bowl: 27euro, kinderpizza 12 euro The pizza of the children was with a lot of sauce. Not dry.
