A friend of mine suggested me this place as he has been there once, 2 weeks before, and he enjoyed it. We went there for lunch in a not busy day. I am 45 years old , Italian, I worked all my life in hospitality and I run a restaurant for years so I think that If I review an Italian restaurant , I know what I am talking about. The food was good, especially pappardelle with duck breast , the entree were mushrooms, good, and the dessert was not too bad but it came with an amazing mandarin ice cream . a degustation dinner for three. superb food, excellent presentation, perfectly matched wines, and timing between courses was spot on. the food was superb, wonderful presentation and a delight to eat due to the flavour combinations. impeccable & very knowledgeable service and a reasonable price, for what this restaurant delievered, made this a meal to remember. we are already planning our next night here as we all agreed it was the best meal we have experienced, for that is what the meal was, an incredibly pleasant experience. well done to everyone at this restaurant and thank you for a very memorable night.
We had dinner here on a cold Monday night. The service was friendly. We ordered the early bird menu which was $44 for 2 courses and wine each. The meals were lovely, the servings small. I had the tortellini for main and there was about 5-6 tortellinis on the plate. We did order additional items of breads and desert and wine so our bill was higher at $188 for 2 people than we first thought it would be. But that is ordering an additional glass of wine each, 2 servings of bread, olives and desert. I really like this style of food. I would eat here again, perhaps from the menu rather than early bird menu
We celebrated a very special birthday with 16 people with a set menu to select from. The food was good as always as this is a family favourite.There was a good selection across the menu and a bit of taste testing across the table. Calamari was popular and the beef carpaccio was one of the best entrees. Lamb was enjoyed by quite a few for main and the fish was delicious. We accompanied the mains with potatoes and beans great compliments. Dessert was enjoyed by all and the meal was accompanied. Y white and red wine. An extremely pleasant evening.

During the day, this little cafe front pops out of the side of Mezzalira in the Melbourne building. Serving delicious Italian treats and espresso in an alfresco setting. It’s easy to miss when it’s not open, but when it is, be sure to get in quick as they sell out fast. We tried the Italian salami, mozzarella cheese, sun dried tomatoes and rich basil pesto toasted panini. You couldn’t ask for more – the quality of Mezzalira with takeaway prices.
This restaurant is a regular of ours, and it just keeps getting better and better!I don't think I can remember going to a restaurant, having a great meal, but perhaps being a little disappointed in one dish, or thinking I made the wrong choice. Not at Mezzalira! Every dish was superb, every morsel delicious and the whole dining experience wonderful. We will be back again very soon!
The deco was great, presentation was impeccable. The food was slightly blend. However, the bread Cooked in the oven was fantastic, the waitresses were not very informed about the wine, which was slightly disappointing, the portion was good. The location was central.
Almond Croissant. Beautifully light, crispy and crumbly, the almond croissant was filled with a dense almond paste and topped with flaked almonds and icing sugar. Just the right size too!

The cluster of people waiting to wrap their fingers around a warm cup of coffee from Da Rosario speaks volumes! Not only was the coffee great, but their display of treats sure will tempt you.
Worst service ever the owner was so rude I've never met anyone like him he have really bad attitude and I would never recommend it to anyone and the food was below average
