It's difficult to know what to expect, as one mounts the stairs to the fairly unprepossessing interior of this restaurant. An overwhelming air of fried food assailed our nostrils and the general impression was of a basic, unpromising establishment. However, the food is quite another matter - delicious, generous and superbly cooked! The staff is friendly and welcoming but if our visit was anything to go by the Da Siro is popular with locals and it might pay to book - especially on a Friday or Saturday evening. Dieses kleine Lokal am Rande der Innenstadt hat nur wenig Sitzplätze, ist aber gemütlich. Doch die Speisen entsprechen leider nicht dem Ambiente. Die angebotenen Weine sind allerunterste Schublade. In jedem Supermarkt gibt es besseres.Das beste an unserem Essen war die Vorspeise: Büffelmozzarella mit Tomaten und Rucola. Da stimmten die Mischung Essig und Öl und auch der Rest. Dann bekamen wir von der Tageskarte, 2 Kalbskotellets mit Pommes und einem Rohkostsalat. Das Fleisch war weder gut gewürzt noch schmeckte es frisch. Es war zudem trocken. Ho avuto il piacere di conoscere il signor Siro e la sua cucina durante il mio ultimo viaggio di lavoro. Ho cenato con un filetto al pepe verde di carne argentina con insalata e patate fritte che ancora sogno. La carne era davvero tenera e di ottima qualità. Lo staff servizievole e il signor Siro da buon italiano veramente ospitale e coinvolgente. Il rapporto qualità prezzo più che buono. Per chi si trovasse a Pirmasens consiglio certamente questo ristorante sicuro di non sbagliare. Reserva una mesa ahora
Fantastic meal. Rigatoni Arabiata absolutely delicious, with Chianti fabulous. Service friendly and very accommodating and also staff speak a little English which helped a lot. Would thoroughly recommend it. Clean crisp white linen tablecloths and napkins. Candles too. Always call here on our half...way stop from UK to Austria and on our way back. Great!!
