He estado aquí un par de veces en los últimos años, siempre con amigos y siempre tuve una gran experiencia aquí. Anoche también probé la comida que su especialidad local, Niederrheinischer Sauerbraten, es realmente buena. I've been here a couple of times in recent years, always with friends and always had a great experience here. Last night I also tried the food (their local speciality, Niederrheinischer Sauerbraten, is really good).The owner is quite a character, and it shows in the queer design (very old-school, a couple of mannequin-dools standing or sitting around add a bit of a psyco-flavour to the place) and the lovingly created beer card, which contains a lot of explanations about each different brew, using cliparts and bits of information here and there, including a guide to the world of beer terminology.So, the beer... they have 18 (!) beers from tap, stored in three different cooling-rooms undergrou...

Our social party of 13 adults booked a large table for a meal & drinks in Dachsbau where they have about 16 beers from the fass. With a large party it is usually the waitress that comes under pressure keeping up with all the different drinks and meals over the course of the evening. We were all seated and with drinks at 6.15 and after studying the menu we all ordered by 6.30. Although we had to wait a while for the meals we did not mind, we were out for an evening of conversation and news swopping so the time passed by quickly.
