I lived in pecos back in the early 1980s, and dairy mart was great at that time. our family moved back to florida in 1984 and I was not back to pecos until 2021 when I came back to California after moving my daughter there. it had changed a lot, but I was surprised to find that dairy mart was still there and had not changed from what I remember. I told my other daughter who had rode with me to California, all about how my parents would bring us to dairy mart for ice or hamburger. at that time pecos had no almost food restaurants except 2 dairy queens. we stopped and ordered a few burgers, and they are still great! Stop here if you want a truly unforgettable roadside experience. Fantastic burgers and shakes that taste as you remember being a child in America years ago. It definitely doesn't look so much, but bring your kids here, let them down their phones and just enjoy an old burger together on the tailgate of your truck or SUV.

The first time coming from the Rillo to ever try their great Frito Burger and it was worth the price and wait. I appreciate the staff that works there, they were very helpful and friendly when I ever returned to Pecos TX. That would be my first place to stop and eat
