I won't visit this DQ in Mayfield again. I should have known when I drove up at lunch time and was the only car at the drive-thru, that something was wrong. My total order came to $17.47. I ordered the 6 piece chicken strip basket. The fries were ok and the ranch dressing was ok. However, the chicken strips were laughable, only 5 and not much chicken to them. They did not add the gravy! The bread was soft and chewy without flavor. Not toasted. The pecan blister had plenty of pecans but tasted and looked like chocolate. The previous time I went there I ordered a chocolate shake. It was thin, no lid, no whip cream. Yes, some of the folks do not speak clear English and can be a little trying to...

We were trying to order at the drive-through and the lady speaking with us suddenly cut us off and told us to come around to the window to pick up our order. She was obviously frustrated, perhaps a bad day, but we just decided to drive off after that. Definitely not going to argue in a drive-thru line just to get our full order placed while being talked to in that manner, this comes from two people that have worked retail environments for years at multiple levels.

I would advise against visiting this DQ. It does not seem to be sanitary. The new owners do not wash their hands after using the restroom or before preparing food. Additionally, they struggle with English, so if your order is incorrect, they may blame you and you won't receive a refund or a corrected order. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as 1 star.

I absolutely love Dairy Queen! Their ice cream is delightful! Although the service can be a bit slow, it's due to the fact that they prepare everything fresh, ensuring that your food is hot and delicious when it arrives. I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant when my order was incorrect. When I pointed out the mistake to the server, she refused to remake it, insisting that she had already taken it, despite the fact that I hadn't realized it wasn't what I ordered.
