The food was delicious, and I couldn't resist taking home some of the red onion chutney after having it on my toastie—it was fantastic! I also purchased passionfruit curd and a jam to savor later. There was a large selection of high-quality teas available, and all the cakes were freshly baked; the delightful aroma wafted through the air. The coffee was wonderful, and the staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly. While it may not apply to me, it's worth noting that the café is quiet and dementia-friendly, making it a welcoming space for everyone. It also seemed quite popular with the locals, which is always a good sign!
So many teas to choose from. If you are a tea enthusiast you will love the selection. I had broccoli and cheese soup with soda bread and a carroway and orange scone. Both delicious. My wife had a scone and a slice of chocolate cake which was a bit dry. My 2 year old daughter had a cheese sandwich from the kids menu and it came with hand made crisps and a salad, a lot for her but she really liked it. We'd come back.
Spent quite a bit here oops and visited 3 times so far. Very friendly people who make you feel at home in a shop that actually feels more like a home. If you like tea, I'm sure you'll find something you like although there are no tea bags, only tea leaves/fruit tea/herbal tea. The coffee and cakes (home-made cakes! Not factory batch produce) are also wonderful.
