It's almost unfair to rate this place at all, since we never even made it inside to eat, but the vibe and first impressions were so incredibly negative and oppressive, that I feel obligated to say something. We arrived at the restaurant, with a dinner reservation, on a Saturday night, about minutes early. I was told that our table wouldn't be ready until and were invited to sit at the bar. Stephanie was our server and she was awesome! Extremely knowledgeable about the menu and we both ordered their signature Godiva pasta in which she recommended. It was delicious. However, after Stephanie told us about the menu options we never saw her again. We had about different servers which was fine, they were all great (or so i thought, you have a thief working for you) Just a bit confusing when you need to get a drink or place an order. Place was also homey inside, although tiny it was comfortable and the live piano and singer was a good touch. What made me want to leave a ONE STAR on this restaurant was the fact that I left a tip amount on my card (as me and my friend split the bill)....
We are probably the easiest going folks you could meet, so when I say this place was Awful, it truly was. The waitress was nice, however the salad was taken away while I was still eating it, our main courses looked like someone dropped them and scooped them back up onto the plate, we were sitting in the laps of the people next to us. Overcrowded is an understatement even for NYC. I’ve eaten in so many restaurants over the last decades in the city and have never seen anything like this. The maitre’d clearly wanted to get you out of there ASAP and so he did because we ran out of there and will NEVER go back!!! Yikes!!! I had a great experience sitting at the bar of this quaint restaurant. There was a piano player singing to broadway and Disney songs and the bartender was singing along as well. It’s definitely not something extremely upscale, but I chose this restaurant for proximity to Chicago in the ambassador theatre. Me and a friend just had a couple of martinis and bruschetta toast before the show as we had eaten dinner in queens (to save a couple dollars). But was pleasantly surprised n y the music and good service in Times Square and from what we saw the entrees looked deluxe and our appetizer was good and the espresso martini was made with real espresso!

The restaurant had an old-world feel to it. You feel like you’re in Italy not in the center of Manhattan. We had a reservation but arrived early after seeing a broadway play and Tommy accommodated us by seating us immediately. Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were filling. I will definitely come back again and recommend Da Marino to everyone I know looking to eat in the city
DON’T GO. Open Table should discontinue letting them be on its platform. Reservations for and was told it would be minutes. At asked the status and they said minutes again. Had a show at so left. Save your money and go down the street
Outstanding. Great food, service and ambience. And the piano and singing were amazing
