Dami Sushi - Reserva de mesa

In our eternal quest for good sushi in Nanaimo, we were guided to Dami by a colleague of my partner. It was a very quiet Monday evening, with maybe a third of the tables in use. The decor is great. Very modern with splashes of culture all around. The menu is huge and made it tough to choose our meal, but after some hemming and hawing we got it down to a good cross section. Their tuna sashimi was wonderful and easily the best we've had in Nanaimo so far. Their assorted tempura is a great value, and is pretty average tempura. Not mindblowing, but certainly no slouch. I ordered an Errington roll and salmon teriyaki. The roll was good and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I also loved the veg that came underneath the salmon. It came with more rice than you can eat. The only reason I give it four stars is after getting back to my hotel and realizing that there was no soy sauce, chopsticks, and napkins in the bag.. I had to drive back and by the time I got back to my hotel the salmon teriyaki was cold. It still tasted good though. I thought it was always a thing that you would get soy sauce and chopsticks at least, maybe you have to ask here?

This restaurant had the worst service i’ve ever seen, they missed items from our order, didnt fill our water or tea even when we asked for more. The food was bland and tasteless. They didnt once check up on us to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else. When it came time to pay we waited 15 minutes and no one asked if we would like the bill so we had to go up to the register, i asked for a discount for the missed items and they said no. Dont spend your money at this establishment

I came here on a busy Saturday night. The place was quite busy, but not totally full. Servers seemed totally overwhelmed, however. They were always pleasant, but it took quite some time for the tea to arrive, for the order to be taken, and for payment afterwards. The sushi itself was fine. Portion sizes were slightly on the lower end, but it was tasty. I ordered the spicy salmon and Dami rolls. $20. Not a bad sushi restaurant, but it likely won't become a regular. two times in the city stopped! really friendly staff, fast service and good food. the house salad was amazing, miso suppe good, tempura- both herbal and prawn were crispy and tasty. I ordered a lunchbox that comes with a small salad, a mixed tempura and a selection of rolls. also had the dynamit roles and the crazy girl rolling - very good! will go again

In town to visit family and had a sushi craving. Read a bunch of reviews for different places but liked some of the different rolls on the menu at Dami. So good! The staff were great, and the food came quick and fresh. Totally recommend the crazy girl roll if you like a little spice!

good friendly service, food came very fast! typical Japanese restaurants decor, and reasonable price! 3 of us ordered teriyaki tofu rice, huhn yakiudon, seafood udon nudelsuppe, and assorted tempura, juice beer! very good eating except the huh, a little dry hard.

we had a wonderful dinner experience at dami sushi. eating was delicious and beautiful presented, amazing worth for a low price. the service was fast, super friendly and helpful. the atmosphere in the dining area is calm and pleasant. will definitely be back. Reserva una mesa ahora

everything on the plate is yummy! even the affenhirn sushi. do not know about this name for a sushi, but it was. the crew is very friendly and are all smileys. they seem to love what they do. very reasonable price too.

Got seated, waited for about 20 minutes, no one came to take our order or even said hi. The couple before up walked out as well because they got no service.
