Went for lunch on a Saturday. It was empty for a while at noon when they open , then more people arrived later. The server Bupesh (sp? was phenomenal. He took great care of us. He was also the bartender LOL. We truly enjoyed the cocktails! Mixologist level for sure. As for the food.. blown away!! Probably the most delicious Nepalese we've ever had. Kale chaat was so good. Pork momos so yum. Spicy cauliflower was divine. For mains, the shrimp and salmon biryani was delicious. The okra, bhindi masala, was really good. We were pleasantly surprised by everything. We walk by this location in the Mission all the time! Glad we finally gave it a try. We are definitely going back!! Winner.
A pleasant atmosphere and delicious food make this restaurant a great option for a nice vegan dinner. Their menu clearly marks vegan item (always a big plus) AND they can make most of their dishes vegan. Tikka Masala! They will even serve you vegan naan. Wonderful cocktails, friendly staff and even good music This is also a great place to go if you were planning to go to Shizen but decided not to wait 3 hours for a table! This restaurant is right around the corner.
Lots of tasty starters like aloo dum. Pani Puri was pretty fun! Got their saag curry with coconut milk and tofu mixed veggies. Flavor was spot on, not too salty, and tofu cubes had great springy texture. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Menu has vegan options clearly marked, as well as note that many dishes can be vegan.
I absolutely adore dining at this restaurant! The food is always delicious and the staff is incredibly kind. Although we had reservations for 7:45, we didn't get seated until 8:15, but it was definitely worth the wait. The hostess was so friendly and even treated us to some MoMos, which was a lovely gesture.

the delicious vegan momos were enough for one, although I definitely try again the vegan curries. the hot sauce on the side was extremely spicy, as I warned, and very funny to rehearse.
The food is always delicious at this restaurant! The friendly staff went above and beyond by surprising us with a celebratory dessert for a birthday. You should definitely check it out!
Always a delight to visit the Dancing Yak. Delicious and attentive service. It is particularly wonderful to introduce friends to the restaurant.
Servers were slow. They served entrees without the rice/naan. We didn’t get rice/naan until maybe 10 min after we got entrees.
