Daphne's Caribbean Cusine

Wow! What a nice surprise. Once we stumbled upon this authentic Caribbean food spot in the Poconos. The food was excellent! I had curry, chicken, rice and peas and cabbage. I ordered a side of rice and peas and cabbage, because we weren't sure if we would be able to get out the house the next day. My girlfriend ordered coat and she said it was great. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant and I guess we ordered so much food she threw in a soda. The service was great. She shared a story about her grandma who still cooks for the restaurant. Cool area to sit down if you must eat there. I would definitely recommend this place!! I was so hungry and the food was so delicious. I didn't even take a picture. If I'm ever in the Poconos, I will definitely return.

I've been coming to daphnes for years! When I was pregnant with my son I literally got the jerk chicken 2-3 times a week. They closed around covid and I had no idea they opened back up. I was in the mood for jerk chicken and googled my options and when I saw daphnes was open again I got right up and got the jerk chicken and oxtail. It's so good!! Literally best in town, hands down. Food is decent it has a lot of pepper for my taste. My only issue like most takeout restaurants these days is the portion size doesn’t match the price. No value won’t go as often. Food is amazing! I've been coming for years. Definitely the best in down. The jerk chicken and cabbage is a must try!
