Das Meyer Fine Pastry Chalet

A fine bakery next to 64th west of the Wards on the North side. Easy to miss as the bakery is recess from the road even though there is a large sign. It's next to high end residential area so it's easy miss as no other store around and this bakery lookslike an old house right next to a large wedding venue the Morningside Manor. Great selection of pies, call ahead if you wantto have great pies for the holiday otherwise you might not be able to get one. We always called a few days ahead forThanksgiving and Christmas. There is long line for picking up the per ordered pie the day before holiday as it is great desertsfor the festival. Plus, people hope for last minute addition. Because the pies are really good. Many display in the store aswell. Update Pies are not that sweet. Add the photos of the chocolate pecan pie and Banana cream pie. (Liked the chocolatepecan pie more, with good balance of filling and not that sweet smooth chocolate and very good pie crest.

Ordered a red velvet cake for our anniversary. We were very disappointed. The cake was dry, tasted old. The frosting was butter cream with cream cheese filling. Who puts butter cream on red velvet cake?! The cake itself was red velvet chocolate. Redvelvet is NOT chocolate. Honestly, I was in shock when I called to complain and was told they make it with butter creamfrosting and chocolate red velvet. My Southern Aunt would be horrified. The only thing right was the decorations: they werebeautiful, if inedible. Go to Whole Foods. I 'd have been better off I made Duncan Hines.

No matter what type of baked goods you are looking for you will find it here. You will probably also find a treat you didn't know you were looking for. All of our families wedding cakes have been made here. Sometimes we just stop in for a specialcookie. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about all the pastries. The store and property are beautiful and alwaysclean. Das Meyer Fine Pastry is a must see and taste.

Das Meyer made our wedding cake, and I couldn?t be happier with the way it turned out. We love cake and pastries, so it was important for us to have a cake that looked great and tasted great. Das definitely delivered! The cake was beautiful and ittasted amazing. Almost everyone at our wedding commented on how much they loved it. I would recommend them to anyone looking foran event cake!

I have had several contacts with Das Meyer starting with my daughter's wedding cake several years ago. Every cake has been exceptional! Favorite flavor is the Orange Blossom. No where else compares.
