DasGold is connected to the City Hotel D&C in St Polten (see my review of hotel).We ate in this restaurant three evenings during our stay and the food was excellent, well presented and so full of flavour. Some may say it's a bit pricey but we didn't think so for the quality (about 15-18 Euros for a main course).I had almond trout, wiener schnitzel and cordon bleu (stuffed pork escalope) and for dessert the most gorgeous 'pear four ways' and fresh and fruity ice cream.The service was good. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. You can even eat outside if the weather is hot.This must be close to Michelin star quality.
There were five of us having a working dinner at DasGolds. All of us enjoyed our meals and the wine choices were very good. I had the wiener schnitzel which was cooked very well and was not oily/greasy. I would have liked it to be served with some green vegetables instead of only some potatoes but this could be the Austrian way to serve this dish. The appelstrudel was dissapointing - unfortunately. It was a bit soggy as if it had been heated in a microwave. Other than that the overal experience was good. I recommend the apricot schnapps.

Im Gold finden Sie ein gehobenes Lokal mit vielfältiger Speisekarte vor. Im Sommer sehr zu empfehlen, das wöchentliche Barbecue welches im Innenhof stattfindet. Preise sind für die Location in Ordnung, wenngleich das Preisniveau deutlich höher ist als in umliegenden St. Pöltner Lokalen. Reserva una mesa ahora
Im Zuge des Hotelaufenthalts haben wir dort zu Abend gegessen. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar - klein aber fein.Die Qualität der Speisen ist hervorragend, das Ambiente sehr stilvoll und elegant. Das Preisniveau ist gehobene Klasse aber passt zur Qualtität des Restaurants.
