Davanni's Pizza Hot Hoagies

The food at this Davanni's is typically very good. We did have one issue with our order, but granted, that's one issue out of probably fifty visits where there's never been any problems. However, on this particular occasion we had ordered two sandwiches and we got two completely different sandwiches then what we had ordered. In addition, one of the sandwiches had whole wheat on the top for bread and white bread the bottom, so it was a little bit unusual. The pizza tasted really good. The cheesy bread would have been really good but, unfortunatelythey forgot to make it. The Mac and cheese was Mac and cheese. It was reported to be very good. I didn't eat it but, the rest of the family did and they enjoyed it. All in all I would love to give a higher review, and I think that I will change the star rating from what I was originally thinking of a 3 star review, to bump it up to a four star review. I'm hoping I can get it back up a 5 star review as time goes on and we see some better improvement with our pick up orders.

Bought a deep dish pizza with extra sauce which was not included at all (got like a few dollops most the pizza was just cheese and bread) which is necessary on their deep dish to get the consistency I like otherwise it's just cheese and bread most the time. They barely put any sauce on at all and it was barely spread on parts of the pizza basically got a cheese pizza with barely any sauce when I paid for extra. Otherwise everything else was fine. I paid $33 for the pizza so I expect better davanni's. You really shouldn't have to pay for extra sauce to begin with but you do if you want any really so it's disappointing to not get the 2x. Id expect the whole pizza to be covered.

Hosted my extended family and we ordered Davanni's catering options and had the food delivered. Food was excellent! Highly recommend the Chicken Florentine. It was a hit with everyone. It has thinly sliced chicken which is a great touch; not rubbery and chunked like most chicken pastas. We got pastas, pizza, garlic bread and some extras. Everyone enjoyed it, from grandparents to grandbabies (age 2). Plenty of options for catering including plates, silverware, dry toppings, napkins, etc. Prices are comparable to any chain pizza place, and it's way better quality and taste! Hadn't been in years, but glad we went with them for our family event!
