I went to this restaurant with some friends who encouraged me to try the mild option, which I found to be completely non-spicy. The chicken was exceptionally fresh, and the spices were quite flavorful, especially when combined with honey. Honestly, I might prefer this spot over Cane’s, which is saying a lot since I really enjoy Cane’s. The vanilla ice cream was also very good. If you're craving spicy chicken but want to avoid intense heat, I suggest opting for the hot option instead. The only downside to this place is that it is fairly expensive; I ended up spending $18 for a meal and a shake. Other than that, everything was fantastic!
In my view, chicken sandwiches can be quite underwhelming. The chicken itself is over-seasoned, which detracts from the overall flavor. The fries weren't impressive either. The only item I found enjoyable were the pickles; they were delicious, so I'd recommend just ordering those as a side. I was also a bit uncomfortable with the straws—they were all bundled together without any covering, meaning they had been touched by others before I used them. As for the customer service, it was lacking. They made an error with my order and then claimed they had saved me some money, which was not true at all.
My kids took me to Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time at the San Bernardino location, and it was a fantastic experience from the moment we walked in. We were greeted warmly, which made us feel right at home. We ordered three sliders and one tender with fries, all at a medium spice level. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, and I was really impressed. The chicken was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, with just the perfect amount of spice. I can't stress enough how much I enjoyed the meal. I loved it and would definitely recommend this place! It's now one of my favorite spots to visit!
I would have rated this restaurant five stars if my milkshake hadn’t arrived completely melted and warm. It seemed like they made the shake first and then held onto it while my food was prepared, resulting in a puddle by the time the dasher picked it up. This has happened to me twice now, so I suggest they wait to make the shake until the dasher arrives to prevent it from turning into vanilla soup during delivery. The food was made fresh to order, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The fries were seasoned with Cajun spices, and the dipping sauce was fantastic. I chose the medium spice chicken, which was spicier than I anticipated, but the flavor was incredible. The kale slaw and pickles were also very tasty. I definitely enjoy this chicken sandwich much more than those from other well-known chicken chains. I'll be coming back often!
Every time I visit Dave's Hot Chicken, I leave feeling satisfied and happy. The restaurant is always clean and well-maintained, and they even fixed the door that used to slam shut. I've been coming here since they opened this location, and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. The tenders and sliders are usually tender and juicy; while they may not be perfect every time, I'm still very glad they chose to open here.
The prices appeared to be quite high, and drinks were not included in the total cost. The chicken's breading was a bit too crunchy and tough for my taste. The sauce was similar to Cane's sauce, but it lacked flavor. To top it off, there were no napkins provided, so I had to request some, which I found rather unusual.
