Stayed for three nights in Room 7, on a bed and breakfast basis. Very happy with all aspects, clean and comfortable. A bit of late night noise as the room is directly above the bar and in the excellent weather a lot of people spent time outside with their drinks and smokes! Excellent varied menu, good quality and well presented food. Breakfast service and check in particularly friendly. Beer garden very nice, although not sure about some young guys inflicting their choice of ‘music’ on other customers! Thankfully the restaurant area is lovely, so moving inside wasn’t a disappointment, despite the lovely weather! Never had an alcoholic shake before, but the Tennessee Boozy Shake is highly rec...
The food here carvery was excellent definitely no complaints. Unfortunately the service never matched it. Over 20 mins waiting for a drink to be delivered to our table . That was the last time we had any interaction with any member of staff till we paid our bill. Not once asked if everything was ok , no offer of another drink or dessert. I hate leaving a restaurant without giving a tip but on this occasion I felt totally justified. We won’t be back but as we were totally invisible to staff we won’t be missed.
Restaurant very busy so booking advisable (we rang Saturday lunchtime and managed to get a table for the evening). I think this speaks for itself. We had Cajun Chicken Carbonara an interesting combination which worked well, and one of the burgers. Initial table service (drinks, starters etc) was v quick and it was good to see restaurant properly resourced which makes for a positive customer experience. We didn't really wait that long for main meals even though it was busy. We had cheesecake and Banoffee Mess.
Everything was good, apart from the small problem of the stairs. My fault really but bags having to be carried up 3 floors should be something highlighted somewhere. Lucky enough to be be given a view at the front of the hotel which was lovely to overlook the sea. Wind blew hard during the night but that wasn't the fault of the hotel. Staff were all great, breakfast was fantastic and overall a hotel I would be happy to return too once I built up my fitness level.

Stayed for four nights with friends who were visiting us from Canada. The hotel was absolutely spot on, the rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really nice with a good selection and the evening meals superb and the staff lovely. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to all
My wife and I went here to try the seniors lunch and we were amazed at the the choices available and how good the food was, The service was first class and the two ladies couldn't have been better so friendly. It is good to see the Davron offering such a good deal for older folk. We will certainly be returning.
Eight of us went here for dinner early on a Saturday evening and expected it to be quiet but it was very busy which tells you everything. The food and the service was excellent. Everyone had a great time and there was a really good atmosphere at the Davron. Will definitely be returning.
Visited with family. Service good. Portion size and presentation ok. Unfortunately ALL the meat in the dishes poorly cooked , tough and chewy. Dissapointed with the meal overall. Looked good, just never passed the taste test :

We had a recommendation to go here last night, so happy we did. Food and service were both really good. I had the muscles and they were so tender, very nice. The meals are reasonably priced which is a big bonus
Excellent food, haddock cooked to perfection. Lovely room with nice ambiance. The table service was superb.
