We took my mother in law here for a lunch. We thought it was a good choice as we did enjoy food here. Ordered their featured Beijing roasted duck and a vegetable dish. 15 minutes in when they brought vegetable dish, the server advised my husband that duck wouldn't be ready for a while. When asked how long is "the while", server said "I don't know". Since my husband needs to go back to work, he insisted for an answer to decide what to do. The server came back saying "any time between half an hour and an hour". When he asked why it took so long, there came a couple nonsensical answers: we just open; we are busy. Ugh, first we can see you are not that busy (11:30am on a weekday); second, if duc...

Chinese restaurants are notoriously known for bad customer service and this restaurant proved no different. It was difficult to flag down a waiter as they were always busy doing something. Perhaps they were understaffed on Boxing Day but there is no reason for a customer to grab their own plates and take out containers at the end of the meal. I normally order the Peking duck along with the crab roe soup but it looks like they changed the recipe for the soup. It use to be so creamy with crab roe but now it they added salted duck eggs to get the flavour. I really enjoy the food here despite the service because it reminds me of the food in Beijing. It's probably one of the restaurants that has...

We went there for roast duck which was recommended by our son. With high expectations, we're not disappointed. There were two editions of the roast duck. The featured one called signature was tastier than the regular one called Peking style according to our son. We ordered a regular one which was not surprisingly good but definitely not disappointing. We went there, being told to come back after about a half hour when a table would be available. So we went shopping. Be prepared to wait for a table. The services were considered good too. The next time we would order a featured one to see if it is really different from the regular one.

The duck is better and juicier than most Chinese restaurants in Toronto but you are paying to get less. Most other Chinese restaurants cook the rest of the duck to make lettuce wraps but they don't do this here. They also charge you to order more wraps, cucumber and green onion to accompany the duck (Not sure if they charge for extra hoisin sauce). The servers don't speak very good English. Also when asked to split the bill they added on 15% in tip without asking us.

I order th spicy clam but specify not spicy because I have kids. After 5 minutes, it comes with hot chilli,I told the server please change, few minutes later it comes with soy sauce only and it is extremelly cold. I realized the kitchen staff just washed the spicy clam and put soy sauce on it. Unbelieveable. Terrible experience, not recommend toanyone else.

The place is small and crowded. Food was good but the customer service was poor. It was difficult to flag down a server for our bills and they forced us to pay an additional 12% tips per person when we asked to split the bills. Not a pleasant way to end our Chinese new year dinner.

I've never had such a terrible dining experience that I would go out of my way to write a review, but this is it. This restaurant should be avoided. The lack of attention to detail and customer service are apparent in the dining hall. It's...More

This is our go-to place for Peking duck in GTA (well sometimes their Richmond store). The Peking duck dish is quite authentic which came with the fatty skin pieces that you can dip in sugar.

This restaurant does offer unique Northern Chinese dishes. However, its signature roast duck is over hyped and a bit over priced.
