chinatown has recovered with the rest of the world; the addition of Dessert Cafés is another step forward. So far I have discovered two; they are small, serve only special drinks and desserts, and attract clusters of young people around the clock. candys caffe is hidden in the first floor with a modest entrance to the staircase between leong's legendary and rasa sayang in chinatown. the brightly illuminated staircase leads to a small room with non-existent decoration; a plasma TV with cantopop music videos and overcrowded wooden tables. for the three or four times I visited, I didn't have the unfortunate to wait for a table on the stairs, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was, every time full of house.

hidden gem is located on top of macclesfield st in chinatown. only small and is very busy so they may have to wait to sit. it's worth waiting. the pancakes are heaven on a plate. hot with their choice of filling and with ice cream. You can't stop eating until everything's gone. they also serve here blown. best for:

blink and they will miss it, but this hidden Asian dessert salon is pretty good to visit after a meal in chinatown. I'm glad we're stumbled on it. I recommend the mango lover and I come back to try her crow, waffeln and blow tee.

I love this place. always a joy and a good place to recover from the delusion of the centrallondon. I love the mango sun best.

...It was absolutely delicious the Taiwanese tea was different to hk style tea, the pudding was also taiwanese style.
