"We had a drink here before dinner, as it was right at our hotel. Very much a local bar, but very welcoming for tourists, with Union Jacks, Stars and Stripes etc prominently displayed above the bar. The locals celebrated the arrival of Beaujolais Nouveau, but the owner rushed out a few of them to give us a place at the bar. They passed by with very good grace and everyone tortured us when we got our drinks. We left with smiles on our faces, which is always a good sign."

We popped in here for a drink before dinner as it was right by our hotel. Very much a local bar, but very welcoming to tourists, with Union Jacks, Stars and Stripes etc prominently displayed over the bar. Locals were boisterously celebrating the arrival of the Beaujolais Nouveau, but the owner promptly turfed a couple of them off their seats to give us a place at the bar. They moved over with very good grace and everyone toasted us when we got our drinks. We left with smiles on our faces, which is always a good sign.
