De La Poste - Reservar una mesa

We have had lunch here twice this week and were very happy with what we had. Each time we had the 3-course menu du jour, which is excellent value €11 and has a remarkable number of options. All the dishes we tried were very nice and the portions were good. The hot dishes were well cooked and very hot. Desserts were excellent, especially the raspberry tiramisu. We tried the red and rosé house wines (en carafe) and both were nice. Brandies €4 were a bit steep, given that the measures were rather small. Service was friendly and efficient. We ate here this evening from the play du jour. I chose from the €11.50 menu and had lardons and cheese on a type of toasted bread with a salad, followed by duck the ile flottante excellent and wonderful coffee too. My husband had the €19 menu and had snails, local beef and creme brûlée again, an excellent meal. The waitress really looked after us (and the rest of the dining room) extremely well Sorry about my French spelling, using my phone and it is struggling and correcting incorrectly

For the 10th or 12th year I held my Birthday Party here. The Log Fired Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The family who staff are always charming and helpfull, and, thank goodness, they have not lost there excellent Chef, after all these years. The meal was excellent and within fair budget, and my 20 odd friends helped make it an excellent evening. Thank you Odette 1 especially dear Isabella, who works like a Trojian!!!

We have been going to this restaurant for nearly thirty years. Not necessarily a gastronomic experience but jolly good reliable food and a menu that changes daily. The same family have been running La Poste for many years.

The bar looks stunning, very relaxed atmosphere and of course the hosts are very warm and friendly. They sell great food at a reasonable price, the hotel rooms are available at good affordable rates.
