We ate here as we were staying at the hotel. After being seated it was a good 15 minutes before we were offered any drinks and at this point the restaurant was not even that busy. We eventually ordered and the starter was only a selection of bread and it took what felt like ages to be served. The bread was nice but the butter was very hard. When the main dishes came I had ordered a mushroom risotto with a rocket dressing. When it arrived there were no mushrooms to be seen, it was a grey colour and didn’t look appealing at all. Even though we made a reservation at this restaurant weeks in advance, we were informed upon arrival that we would have to dine in the bar area because the restaurant had been reserved for a private event. This was very disappointing, especially since we were celebrating a special occasion and had confirmed our reservation. The staff seemed preoccupied with the private event at first, which affected the service provided to us. The food was decent, but dining off a bar table did not provide the atmosphere we were hoping for on this particular evening.
Despite booking a table in the restaurant for a special occasion, the hotel decided to close the restaurant for dinner the day before, without notification, and seat everyone in the open bar area. The menu online was also out of date and dishes were no longer available. The bar area was shared with a wedding party for about an hour so it was crowded and noisy. First drink (Aperol Spritz) returned because the Prosecco was flat. The steak was dry with very little sauce/jus. Over priced and mediocre.
Overall, the service was extremely disappointing considering there were multiple wait staff and a manager on site. This is clearly a management issue that needs to be addressed. The food was average and nothing special that couldn't be found elsewhere. Our experience was not worth the money, and we would not recommend this restaurant.

We had a great experience with a deacons restaurant. The food was amazing and our waitress was friendly and efficient.
Great food at a good price. Fun atmosphere. Staff were great. Quick service. Izabela was so good, very efficient.
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Despite it being a busy evening, everything ran smoothly.
Very over priced for the value of food. We had a chicken dish and fish/ chips plus two drinks each.
