I don't normally write reviews but this place was extremely disappointing on our recent early Valentine's Day celebration dinner. The decor and atmosphere were nice with an outdoorsy, lodge feel. They had a good number of specials and even had a special Valentine's Day dinner menu with some good sounding choices. They even had Fat Tire on draft which my husband and I both had and enjoyed.I chose the Pine Nut Encrusted Salmon and my husband the Fish and Mac Dinner. All I can say is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED food. My Pine Nut Encrusted Salmon arrived covered in a pesto, which I did not expect at all, that contained about 15 total pine nuts and too much salt. So much for encrusted....read more

Totally Different Experience. I went on Valentines day to Deadwood and had a comp[letely different experience than the diner below First I thought that they did a good job decorating, the restaurant is lovely most nights anyhoo, so they didn't do much different I also had the pine nut encrusted salmon with Ginger carrots and Potatoes with the Chocolate Mousse for dessert. (They also gave us free cookies). I thought the salmon was great, when I read pine nuts, I automatically think pesto, so maybe I wasn't as surprised as the diner below. There are three things I look at in judging a restaurant. Food, service and atmosphere. Deadwood has all three perfected. Lots of good things to talk about but I'll focus on the food. You can get game here. And they actually prepare it perfectly. If you're looking to be a little adventurous in your meals, this is a perfect place to try things other than chicken or beef. They also have the normal American burgers and stuff if you're with someone who is turned off by rabbit, bore, and deer. Bottom line, eat here. And eat well friends

omg is here like 5 people and it always takes a beer at the bar. glasses are also crazy hot. it's like they're in the weeds minus the weeds.

Was a first time visitor and this will be my last time Service staff were ok but the food was well below standard Not worth a second chance
