Attended an evening Christmas Party at this restaurant, and I should have known when I walked in and saw no patrons, that this was not going to be as good as I'd been led to believe. This was a Saturday night so very unusual in Canberra. A banquet was ordered and the food took quite some time to start arriving. Each dish was delivered on it's own until the last one which had cold white rice with it. There were long gaps between each delivery and one concern was that the waiter had long fall which kept falling forward and could have contaminated the food. Attended a group lunch at this restaurant. All meals had been ordered beforehand and sent to the restaurant the week before, so there were no surprises for the kitchen.While many people were happy with the meals...this is Canberra after all, and Tuggeranong to boot....the service was excruciatingly slow, three people who had ordered nachos were not served for 40 minutes - cold plates all around! I had beer battered flathead, with mash and veggies, having been turned off chips and salad by the almost universally poor quality of same in Canberra. Fish dry and tasteless ; veggies dry and tasteless; mashed potatoes great. Had to remind waitress to bring tartare sauce, but even so could not finis...
Attended a friends 30th at decadent and enjoyed every minute of it. All of the dishes were of a large variety and great quality- lamb cutlets, chicken schnitzel, calamari, assorted salads and garlic bread very tasty and plentiful. Staff were friendly and polite, going out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. A lovely peaceful place hidden away, the room was decorated beautifully and surprisingly spacious inside. Food, atmosphere, decor- this place ticks all the boxes. Will be booking this place for my next party.
With a name like Decadent you image something with a bit of class. How wrong was I. The food was lovely but the service was terrible. With a high tea you would expect endless tea/coffee flowing but it wasn't until we had eaten were we offered any hot drinks. A small cup of water with a liptons tea bag sitting in the saucer. You felt like you were imposing if you wanted a second cup. Help yourself hot drinks would have worked a lot better.

Four adults visited for a weekend lunch. The venue does indeed look decadent and it looks like the owners have spent quite a bit on making sure the place looks good. The food was tasty and moderately priced. The menu has an all day breakfast, lunch options and dinner options and best classified as modern Australian. The service was very good, friendly and attentive.We are considering going back for dinner in the near future.
It's hard to write a nice thing about this place. We are not fussy people, but there are some basics, that restaurant should abide by.Don't touch the food and don't run out of food and alcohol.In fact you shouldn't run out of anything. This place would have to be the worst restaurant in camberra. I'm not going to elaborate as I don't think they'll be open for much longer.Don't waste your time, or money.
We found this an ideal place for dinner for two. It was a quiet night, so we were able to enjoy the decor, and the friendly but not intrusive service. The steak was cooked perfectly, and so were the vegetables. My only comment was that the wine choice was somewhat limited, but that is something that I am sure will improve as they get better known and busier.

Not your usual hippy markets, this place has proper stuff Good food, spices, meats and cheeses, nursery plants, it's all good.
I adore these markets! There's always a great assortment of snacks, food and drink to take home and crafts/gifts galore.
