We had a bit of trouble figuring out how to operate the high-tech Jacuzzi shower, even after calling the front desk for help. In response, they quickly sent someone to our room to give us a demonstration, which led to a good laugh. From 2 to 5 PM, they offer afternoon tea and freshly baked cookies in the sitting room, which we indulged in a bit too much. We enjoyed two breakfasts and one dinner at their dining room, Champney's, and all of our meals were good traditional fare. The service was friendly and efficient each time.

We ordered the Mushroom Risotto, Chicken Pot Pie, and Scallops with Shrimp. The mushroom risotto was intended to highlight mushrooms, asparagus, onions, and celery, all enriched with plenty of white wine and Parmigiano Reggiano. Unfortunately, the pickled carrots and onions overwhelmed the dish's flavor. The Chicken Pot Pie was creamy but had very little chicken in it. The scallops and shrimp dish had just two scallops and four shrimp, which felt underwhelming. Overall, the price was far too high for what we received, and it was quite disappointing. Sadly, I wouldn't return or recommend this restaurant.
The Deerfield Inn is truly a destination in itself. This charming guest house is situated on Old Main Street in Deerfield, MA, and exudes classic warmth within a cozy colonial atmosphere. Not only is it adorned with exquisite furnishings—like the comfortable Martha Washington chair and the inviting camelback sofa, perfect for relaxing near the crackling fire—but it also provides modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, all while maintaining a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of contemporary life.
I've dined at this restaurant several times. While the menu doesn't change often, every item on it is delightful. My favorite dish is the fish and chips, which I enjoy with a Hahn Guinness. For dessert, I highly recommend the banana promotion. The restaurant is located in a very historic city in Massachusetts, and after your meal, it's wonderful to take a stroll and work off some of those Foster's calories.

We stayed for one Saturday night in August while my son and daughter-in-law participated in a triathlon in Greenfield. The Inn was very charming and cozy. The rooms were comfortable, and the grounds and surrounding area were delightful. We also enjoyed the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this Inn and plan to stay again on my next visit. Our room in the carriage house was stunning—spacious, immaculate, and comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed and lovely linens. For dinner, we savored the table and chips, which is my favorite! The food was delicious and more than enough for us to enjoy.
We have no complaints about this delightful inn and are looking forward to visiting again soon to explore the sights!

Its location in the historic Deerfield area adds to the charming atmosphere.
One of my favorite places to stay in Massachusetts is the Deerfield Inn! We have a student at Deerfield Academy, and we really appreciate the cozy atmosphere of the rooms and the wonderful staff. The on-site restaurant, Champney's, is exceptional, and the manager/host always makes an effort to check in with all the guests during their meals.
