My entire family and I stayed at the Deerfield Inn for my uncle's memorial. It was a perfect stay. The double queen room I was in was large, pet friendly and comfortable. The Inn staff and the restaurant staff were terrific: helpful, accommodating, friendly, and polite. Champney's Restaurant catered our event and the food and service were outstanding. I asked for a custom menu locally sourced where possible, and it was done perfectly. Everything was cooked to perfection, presented beautifully and tasted delicious, from the chilled soups to delicious desserts. The chef(s) exceeded my expectations. The Deerfield Inn is an historic inn, with wallpapered walls and wood floors in the hallways that creak when you walk. But it has all the modern amenities. The temperature control is excellent responding well to AC and heat demands very quickly (I was there during a week when both were needed! . The bathrooms are all updated. All the employees are very kind and helpful. While there is not a refrigerator in the rooms, there is a small one that can be shared among the guests. A Keurig machine is available for making coffee, tea or hot chocolate any time 24/7. And the K cups are well stocked. The food is outstanding and they have a good selection of wines and cocktails. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Deerfield Inn, a beautifully preserved inn in the center of historic Deerfield. Check-in was smooth--I'd heard most of what the receptionist had outlined for the guests checking in before me, so it didn't take long to get me on the way to the room. Our room was lovely--traditionally decorated, large, very comfortable, with a nice bath. We hoped to dine outside but by that time of evening (7:30 the mosquitos were out and the restaurant was happy to accommodate a last-minute switch to inside. Breakfast was ample and well prepared. Champney's is our go to place for our anniversary and other family events. We drive 45 minutes to get there. My ancestors came from Springfield to Deerfield in the 17th century and it probably took them a week! Had lunch today. Blue cheese hamburger perfectly cooked, great taste and wonderful pickled onions and crunchy pickles. Always order the Indian pudding which was part of my childhood. It is amazing with the vanilla ice cream. Service is friendly, efficient and welcoming. The décor is clean if uninspired. We learned the building was flooded several years ago and was redone. We will return over and over again.

My husband and I have been coming here for years. I am never disappointed. The in the decor the cleanliness and the staff are top notch. I am a very very fussy person when it comes to staying somewhere, and this is one of the few places I’m actually comfortable. The only negative was that breakfast and lunch was not available as I came during the week on a Thursday and I understand and was told due to the Covid. Dinner was Very nice and music was nice but a little too loud. We look forward to returning God willing next year
My sister in law set up a surprise weekend trip to the Deerfield Inn for our 17th anniversary. We couldn’t have had a nicer stay. Everyone we came into contact with was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and perfectly decorated. Continental breakfast was pre-ordered and delivered to our door. That may be a Covid protocol but we loved it. We ate at Champney’s on the night of our anniversary and the meal was delicious and our service was great. We will be back to the Deerfield Inn,
We chose Mushroom Risotto, Chicken Pot Pie and Scalops with Shrimp. The mushroom risotto just needed to be mushroom, asparaugs, onions and celery with plenty of white wine and lots of Parmigiano Reggiano. The pickeld carrots, onions, celery completely spoiled the taste. The chicken Pot Pie was creamy and lacking chicken and there were 2 scallops and 4 shrimmps. So overall, the cost was way too much for what it was very disapoinnting. Wouldn't go back or recommend sadly.
The food here is good with an all American flare. However, everything is a la carte and a bit overpriced. We were actually charged $3 for ice in a hard liquor drink! Although the wait staff is friendly, we must have been visited by either the owner, host, or waitress at least 10 different time to see if there was anything else we needed. Even though it 's nice to be taken care of, this was definitely over kill and became somewhat annoying.

Once again, we had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating our 3rd anniversary. We will be back every year. The Thank You card and Anniversary Wishes was so thoughtful! Great meal and great hospitality in an absolutely beautiful setting.
The room was average. Had a musty smell and some of the furniture was stained and very worn. The toilet is unusually low to the floor! The TVs are very small! Parking was limited and had to park on the side of the main road overnight.
