I stopped in to the pizza place across the road for a quick bite of food and wasnt interested in waiting or really impressed with the menu so I left and saw this across the road.I was wondering what the store the Deli Llama would have for me ,so in my curious nature I went to check it out.Upon parking which was ample I noticed a small group of 2 guys and 2 gals sitting outside around my age and thought this is a good sign.When I entered the store was set up for both food and household goods ,collectibles or natural health products,which some were quality and prices accordingly and some were not.I browsed as I made my way to the food counter and talked to the attendant.I asked what was popula...
It's a wonderful spot. Great products. Healthful. Lovely lunch counter with freshly prepared foods. The reason for the one star is that although I ordered a Vegan Wrap, checked the ingredients. My wrap had Feta Cheese. That could have been an accident and excusable (and would not merit one star) but when I returned the wrap to the counter after eating some, and asked why it has cheese the employee shrugged and said she didn't know if feta Cheese was Vegan or not.That's not a good sign for a restaurant who is being touted as a great Vegan option. Recently had lunch this restaurants caters to vegans and vegetarian dishes which are made in house and are excellent So even if you are not a vegan or vegetarian worth trying this one out Excellent dessert We ordered some lentil rolls almost like a sausage roll which are very good and they are making us a couple of dozen to take home they freeze very well and are handy for lunch or dinnerThey are located downtown bracebridge and worth the drive
I've been here a few times - only once since they moved locations. I'm not a big fan of the sitting area or the earthy smell of the store but there are a lot of great options for people who are vegan, vegetarian, gluten intolerant. The issue I have with this restaurant is the price. If you are visiting the area and need those options it would be a great place to go, otherwise I'd probably just make the food myself at home. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. I had freshly made soup and falalfal. The line moved quickly. This place is counter order only. Funky tables are available to eat at or there is take out. Did I mention they have fresh lemonade and excellent coffee and pastry. Vegetarians, vegans and gluten free eaters will be pleased with the selection but even carnivores won't miss the meat the food is so tasty.
Just had the most scrumptious lunch at the new location on Manitoba St. The half-wrap and soup was gigantic. Even on a scorcher of a day like today, the celery sweetpea soup was deeee-lish and (don't ask me to explain) refreshing!Finished off with a huge brownie that was as yummy as they come.If I could, I'd rank this place 6 out of 5. Simply fantastic!
Stopped into the Deli Lama at their new location on Manitoba Street in Bracebridge. Was looking for samosa's but given the time of day, none were available. Got two single serving sized spanakopita's to go. My wife and I had them for dinner. Average taste and a bit dry, not moist. Very expensive for what I got.
When the typical Bracebridge meal consists of a burger, this place is a blessing to find! They try to use local produce but it's been a bad year for organic farmers in the region.
