Upon being seated, we waited about 15 to 20 minutes before a server acknowledged us or took our orders. When our cake finally arrived, there were no utensils provided—guess we were supposed to eat with our hands! The ice cream melted for an unreasonable amount of time before we could flag down a server to actually enjoy it. Our orders were mixed up, and the staff showed little empathy. Additionally, marshmallow was oddly placed in the middle of a cold milkshake instead of on top, resulting in a rubbery texture that was unpleasant. Desserts (particularly, their ice cream) are delicious here! However, I wish there were choices for smaller more reasonable portions. Most of the menu items here are usually too large for my liking and am forced to order a bigger portion than I’d like, or order the single scoop which is one of the desserts that’s on the smaller end.Service is fine but at times can be slow, we also often find ourselves running low on water and would need to prompt for it.Pictured is the flight of fancy delicious but there should be a better plate that can be used so that when the ice cream melts it’s less messy.

We ordered the Belgian Waffle topped with chocolate ice cream and bananas. I can’t remember the exact name of the topping, but it was absolutely delicious! It was more than enough for three adults and two hungry kids under five. I could have easily finished it all myself, but I’m trying to stick to a diet. I wouldn’t recommend the iced coffee with Nutella; it wasn’t very good. The other fruit drink was just okay. I have been consistently going to this location for nearly 6 years with friends and family. I rotate between their red velvet cake with a side of ice cream, ice cream crepes, and seasonal sundaes!Recently, I came during a rush but the host that night, Kingsley, managed to seat not only me, but everyone else as swiftly as possible. The team here at Demetres Downtown Markham exemplifies passionate and exceptional service during every visit!I heavily recommend this fresh, decadent, and addictive gourmet dessert shop!

My friends and family absolutely love coming to Demetres after eating lunch/dinner nearby. Their desserts are delicious and the portions are really big. Their interior design and menus are really cute and colourful which makes atmosphere feel fun and energising. My only small complaint would be that sometimes there doesn’t seem to be enough staff, and at night it can take a little bit longer to get serviced, and seatings aren’t properly cleaned.

This Splitsonian French Crepe is my favourite because it’s so delicious! It‘s beautifully made and presented very nicely with fresh strawberries and bananas. The French crepe was freshly made, and along with Nutella and honey vanilla ice cream, it’s just the perfect dessert! The customer service was good as it was not a busy time. My order was delivered in a timely manner, and the staff was very nice when serving us.

Came here with my friend from out of town. Had a girls’ night out and some girl talk over some tea and a lovely strawberry waffle.The atmosphere was great! The decor is definitely photogenic! Very instagrammable lolService was good and food was good.Parking was easy there are quite a lot of spots available at the parking lot next to the hotel.It’s up to our expectations. Love their interior design. We got a Splitsonian Belgium waffle, which was great! They seemed to be severely understaffed, as we were seated for at least 15 to 20 minutes before a waiter came by to take our order.

The treats here are consistently delicious, and the portions are quite generous. However, the service can be slow, which makes me wonder if they need more staff or equipment to prepare the waffles and crepes.
