This restaurant in the Matawan/Aberdeen area probably serves the best pizza pie around. The crust is crispy, the cheese is delicious, and the sauce is perfectly sweet. I can easily finish a whole pie in one sitting. While I have tried a few different types of pies here, you can't go wrong with the classic original pie, and the vodka pie is also very tasty. The entrees are good as well, but they are similar to other Italian restaurants in the area. What really stands out at this establishment is the pizza. The service is great, and the atmosphere is cozy. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a 5 out of 5 rating. The cost per person for dinner is between $20 and $30.
We regularly order take-out from this restaurant. It takes us 20 minutes to drive to Deninos, but this time I was very disappointed. Despite the prices, which we usually overlook because we enjoy the food, I ordered a dinner and asked if it came with a side salad. They confirmed that it did. However, when I received the salad, it only consisted of a few pieces of lettuce and a half brown cherry tomato. The penne vodka pasta was overcooked and the sauce was so watery that it barely coated the pasta. I paid $27 for the pasta vodka with a side salad. We have decided not to come back here anymore. I went in there, and nobody spoke to me. I was standing there for two more minutes and the cashier looked at me like I had tentacles on my head. as I didn't hear. I said, “I want to order” and she clearly did not hear that. I asked for mushrooms on two levels with extra cheese. simple request! “No, we can’t do that, mushrooms are not cooked.” I have never heard of living in my life ordering the same with other pizzerias. I went out and I'll never go back in.
I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant. As a long-time customer originally from Staten Island, now living in New Jersey, I have been let down the last three times I have visited. I am sorry to say that the food was so bad that it was not even worth the high price. I have no choice but to throw it out in the garbage.

Always good food and great atmosphere. BYOB is a plus and service is top notch. We go at least 1-2 x per week to pick up or dine in.
