When I explained that it was inappropriate given the other available tables, he still refused to accommodate us. I explained that he could easily put us at a vacant table and move someone else to our old one, but it seemed he highly prioritized the incoming reservations over our comfort. He insisted he was fully booked, but as I pointed out, there were still vacant tables and a possibility to rearrange. The ambiance reminded me of some of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia or NYC. Four of us went to DePauls Table last evening and had the best meal and experience ever. The owner Anthony DePaul greeted us and made sure we had a comfortable table. The ambiance and decor was beautiful and our server Josh was very friendly and professional. We were never rushed and had plenty of time to have cocktails and review the menu. The food and preparation was outstanding. The appetizers were delicious and the main courses of steak seafood and standing short rib were fantastic. I had visitors visiting from New York and I recommended we go to this restaurant after reading it's reviews, Of all the restaurants both in Phil and NY( where prices are expected to be high especially for excellent high class food), this meal was for me one of the more mediocre I've had. The food was ordinary and the prices were ridiculous for the quality and quantity. I will certainly not recommend it and never return.
I haven't dined there yet, but I want to share my thoughts on their happy hour. It's fantastic! The atmosphere feels upscale, yet the happy hour makes it enjoyable and affordable. If their appetizers during happy hour are any indication of their meals, I'm excited to try the food. If you're searching for a good happy hour on the main line that isn't a pub, this is the spot for you.
