Desert Rose Cafe - Reservar una mesa

We stopped in Elora on our way to visit friends and just walked the street looking for a place to eat. Saw "The Desert Rose" and decided to eat lunch there. Very friendly place with large tables and a small patio out back. It was rainy and cool so we stayed indoors. The service was very friendly and helpful. The menu is full of gluten free and vegan options. My wife picked the quiche and I had mushroom soup and the "eastern" sandwich. The quiche was wonderful according to my wife and I loved the mushroom soup. The sandwich is made with wonderful bread and tasted amazing. We will stop here again next time. You need to check it out.

Excellent service, food very good. Particularly their quiche. Unique restaurant in that it is small, does not have great curb appeal, but homey inside and there is also a private patio at the back of the establishment. Recommended.

During my visit to Elora, I was delighted to discover a variety of restaurants offering vegan dishes or dishes that could easily be made vegan.

I was immediately put off by the server who said she "never gives recommendations"....very rude. Won't be returning to this unique restaurant.

I am very excited that Elora has a cafe that caters to vegans and those with gluten sensitivities.
