Destille is a tavern I always look forward to visiting on any trip into Dusseldorf I take,a warm and welcoming tavern. My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to the wonderful Old town and its Christmas markets and dropped into Destille on a Saturday...afternoon, this place was busy with a great atmosphere, we sat down were a very pleasant member of staff served us a beer each,we opted to have Bolton Alt beer ,these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back,chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in. My beer was exceptional, after a week of drinking Kölsch beers in Cologne this darker beer was a nice change . I love the look of this tavern, a big main room dominated...
We used this place to get together for a reunion with about friends and acquaintances from the days we've lived in Dusseldorf. Standing along the bar, we enjoyed the friendly unfriendliness of one of the bar tenders, the alt beer and most of all...each other. The place is cozy, an authentic Duesseldorf institution and offers good food and drinks.
Amazing place near altstadt, the food is very good and the prize is not expensive! During the Sunday evening there is a music live show (generally jazz or blues),is great! People that use to go there is not so young but everyone's nice and friendly.

For years, my favorite place feeds like nuts and grandmothers together. Always freshly prepared on the table without a lot of picnic! Nix from can or bag and the service lushes with goodness
the distille is always beautiful, on the summer guest exhibition an art highlight, always like jazz, sometimes to Philo, but always like to taste delicious beers and delicious dishes
I love the distillate for many years because of its special atmosphere and delicious dishes. Service is usually very ok, and the audience overall relaxed and beautiful.
Good food, slanted waiters. Colorful audience, atmosphere. There's hardly anything like here. Hopefully for a long time!
