Woman referred to as doctor is very nasty, rude, and unapproachable. This is why its hard to support black business. I’ve been here a couple of times and every time I go, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. If you order something, they will give you a sample before to make sure you like what you’re leaving with. My dad and I went tonight in search of something healthy to eat at the late hour we were out. When we walked into the Detoxx Bar, the owner informed us that they were close to closing so they would not be able to make us any smoothies or juices but she asked us if we were hungry, I told her we were and she informed us they had food. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we entered the store, we were excited to try the juices, but she immediately called out my partner for supposedly not saying "good morning" or "happy Sunday." Instead of letting it go, she continued to escalate the situation, insisting she was joking, which she clearly was not. Then, she told the employee to add an extra shot of "calm down" to my boyfriend's drink, which made us uncomfortable and worried about the integrity of our order. I came to the Detoxx Bar and the location was closed. The Owner came to the door and told me we are not open, i explained to her that her hours on google showed her business was open. The woman was so gracious to asked me was i hungry, I said yessss. She politely open the door and let me in. We began to talk, she explained to me she was a Doctor. Surely God has blessed this business! I've been to this location a number of times and am met with great couth and warmth. It's filled with a myriad of healthy options for just about anyone looking for a rejuvenating experience! Shaq is a phenomenal server and quite innovative: he'll craft top-tier concoctions and hand out small samples while you might need help deciding what to taste! He's original in his additions and gracious in customer service. Patient and humble, this man can fix you up anything and slam it. I am grateful I ran into this spot!
