D'Gusto Thai Restaurant

I booked a table at the start of December for Monday 21 Dec 2015. I booked via Dimmi online. On the day i checked the Dimmi website and saw that the restaurant had cancelled my booking. I then left a message on their phone and booked a table via their website direct. When we arrived at the restaurant we were advised that we didn't have a booking, that there were no tables and could we go back the next night. My friends had driven up from Torquay for dinner that night only!!! I was not impressed.I went back after Christmas with a printout of the cancellation and asked to speak to the manager. The only person i could speak to was a very young waiter who just looked at me!!! I received no prope...

The best food in Elwood. I have lived here all my life and the area has changed a lot. D'Gusto Thai really provide good quality fresh food and very competitive Prices. If there is a delay, then that was a rare occasion although it is popular for dine in and take away. Service always comes with a smile and staff are very attentive. Don't expect any Thai Restaurant to ask you if you want more drinks as that is not their custom. Do feel free to request yourself and they are only too happy to oblige. The "Fast Food" rating is misleading as they do focus on service delivery but don't undercook any of their food or re--heat frozen food.

This is a local restaurant and BYO which has much appeal. It is the restaurant I go to for a quickish and casual meal, can bring a bottle of wine and have a cheap night out. Service has improved over the last year and the food is generally quite good (some not great which is why I have given it 3 stars) but its probably a 3 1/5 star restaurant. The staff are very helpful. The ambiance is pleasant but fairly basic as you would expect from a good local restaurant.

Food was very enjoyable with lots of vegetables used in various dishes which is unusual. Whilst there was background music the venue lacked any real atmosphere. The chairs are not the most comfortable I've sat on (and I only have a small bottom), nothing a few cushions wouldn't sort out however.Real plus in its favour is they offer a lot of Gluten Free Options. Well going on reviews, my expectations were high, but to my disappointment they apparently had a new waitress on and it all took to long.To long to order, we ate our meals in shifts as they weren't all brought out together! When the food did arrive though, it was fantastic!

Fresh, tasty, large portions, great value for money both for food and drinks. Service staff were working hard to keep up with the needs of a large mid week clientele. Elwood has a trendy village atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing night out

Wine beautifully chilled on a hot night, and the lamb curry was magnificent. Lamb was lean, very tender and the sauce was superb. So full of flavour yet light in texture. 10% discount for paying cash - an added bonus for customers.

Waited for over 30 minutes to be served. Food came out cold. Do I want a drink? It would be nice to be asked. Don't expect it at this place. Worst. Service. Ever. Don't waste your time... Reserva una mesa ahora

D'Gusto Thai must be one of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne. Reasonably priced and fantastic food! Highly recommend the red curry. Friendly staff and great service.

Delicious food, and excellent service. Prawn tempura excellent starter, and sharing various currys, red and green etc. accomadating for children also!
