I had a terrible experience at this fish and chip shop. The owner claims to sell local fish at a high price, but what I received was nothing short of garbage—imported Asian fish that was completely inedible. The quality was awful; it smelled bad and had an unappetizing color. I had to throw everything away. To make matters worse, I was charged $15.00 per piece, and he even told me it was Australian barramundi, which it definitely was not. It's frustrating that businesses like this are allowed to operate. I have reported this to the local Ministry of Health and the authorities who handle fraudulent food products. I wish there was a way to give negative ratings to places like this!
this fish chip store operator is a con artist who tells them he sells local fish due them huge dollar for it then delivers them with utter ****, asian fish. this guy should go straight to prison to leave the thieves and fool them. I had the worst fish and chips experience of my life. It even made me feel sick! The restaurant was overcrowded, and there was a strong smell of dry fish accompanied by poorly cooked chips. The chips were an odd brown color and smelled like old oil. I managed to eat a few chips and took a bite of the fish, but I ended up tossing the whole meal in the trash. The next day, I was feeling incredibly ill with food poisoning. The portion size was disappointing as well—just a thin piece of fish and a handful of chips. It was absolutely disgusting!
After a shocking 1hr wait at Kailis Cafe on trigg beach, we cancelled our order and headed home. Already 8:45, we were struggling to find somewhere to pick up food that wasn't the big name fast food places. Surprise, surprise Dianella Fish House was not only open but welcoming considering the time. Was also surprised to see new owners and a fresh coat of paint and sparkling tiles. The fish and chips were good value, crisp, tasty and well seasoned with the grilled snapper and freshly made squid rings a stand out! Give this place a go!!!

the fish were so disgusting that we had to throw them in the garbage! eating was very fat and cooked in the old oil. it was just so terrible and a total waste of money. We ordered this on a Friday night after a long week, just to find that we had to cook our little young one another dinner because this was so bad. please avoid this place to cost all!
in the past this was our way to fish and chips place, although not the next home. never again. I was never so disappointed by fishing and chips. the teig was like a parchment, the inkfish rings were seriously relocated and the chips seemed like they were 5 days old. not to mention the tasteless maize jacket. looks like it's back in the signboard.
Gross. I've been here twice, only because it's close to my house. Both times the food was undercooked, batter was old and dry, and they forgot things from my order. Don't know how it's possible to mess up fish and chips so badly. Avoid at all costs!
Fatty bomba. As you go into the shop it smells fishy so I only got a few dollars worth of chips it was pretty bad. I'm surprised by how the chips could also absorb the fishy smell to it.
