What a lovely surprise! En route to St. Emilion from Barcelona, we were starving! We had driven through dozens of little towns with nothing open no stores or gas stations and nothing to eat. As soon as we saw this place, we turned right in and what a fortuitous decision! Much to our surprise (and my joy I studied in Morocco in college), D 'ici et d 'ailleurs was a Moroccan bistro tucked into a little French town! The food was incredible and the service was perfectly attentive. I had the chicken tagine, my husband had the Imperial couscous WAY too much food, but we had fun sharing. His included chicken, lamb, sausage, eggplant, carrots, potatoes, and onions with couscous. I hope others drivin...
We arrived at 3:30pm when everywhere else was closed. The lovely host was finished and about to close and welcome us in for a wonderful meal and great locally produced wine. We went for the set menu and stayed for over an hour. Highly recommended especially as it is on the most beautiful scenic route in the area traveling from north to south from Blaye to Bordeaux on the D669! We'd give it more stars if they were available.
We stopped here by chance in a pretty little village, the set menu was excellent value for money as was the local wine. More Moroccan style food lovely flavours.
