Dicicco's Italian Pizzeria- Escondido

The lasagna we had was 'very ' good, though at $20 a dish it was more than a bit pricey (adding a salad was another $3.95 . The portion was 'huge, more than a mere mortal could/should eat at one siting. We brought half of our two lasagna dishes home. It was suggested that we simply come in and ask to split one lasagna dish for the two of us they will even cut the serving in half and give each diner their portion. (Sounded like an excellent idea. Bread is free, but only if you ask for it a bit inconvenient for new customers, who don 't know to ask. Ambience was pleasant enough sorta like the old Marie Callander which used to be there. Would recommend this restaurant give it a try.

That was just okay, not great or terrible, but just okay. it wasn't crowded, but the service was just okay. we were shocked that under classics our order of meatballs and pfeffer with no pasta was served! not okay and another review of the menu proved that it is our fault, but then again most Italian restaurants have a portion of meatballs as side and not the beginning of a menu section with the title classics.

eating was good, quite standard gift nothing special. our server was young and new, but tried to please us so hard. he just didn't know the menu or weinlist very well. I've been drinking. probably not back there.

great food, service and atmosphere. monica was our server and very attentive. this restaurant would make a wonderful place for any celebration. we enjoyed our date night night night. thanks for robert judie kelly
