Overall I would give 5 stars for the value of food. We order a total of 10 items and mostly delicious besides the undercook egg roll and the veggie and chive dumpling. Came here on a gloomy late Saturday afternoon since I've been meaning to try this place and our usual dimsum spot had closed for the day. I'm happy this place is open late and serves dimsum all day! The service is great super patient and friendly lady on the register. We were the only one in there so our order came out quick. There's also option to pre Order in advance to avoid the wait we will def try this next time. The food overall is good. Our faves would be pork siu mai, shrimp har go, mango pudding, ribs, xlb, sponge cak...

- Best siu mai: pork and shrimp
- Best bun: steamed veggie pork
- Best dumpling: shrimp with pea shoots
- Best desserts: egg custard buns and taro buns
Also, the lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice is not only cheaper than spam musubi, but it satisfies the same craving!
While not everything is perfect—I've had better phoenix talons and sesame balls at other places, and the black sesame paste buns are overly sweet—everything else is delicious and definitely worth a try!

I ain’t plan on going back.Chinese restaurants have been using Chicken Powder since the late 80’s. I’m just so curious why suddenly they all decided to go back to MSG ?!??? ? there 3 dim sum places in SL. 2 other have already went back to MSG !!!! ?

Pro-tip: text your order in ~15-20 minutes in advance. There's no parking so I usually park on Bockman. 5 stars for value, taste, and quality (for the price point). Everything we've ordered has been good. The only lackluster item was potstickers. We ordered a ton of food and it came out to $34 for 2 hungry adults.
Great little shop that is fast and efficient. They are very kind and helpful. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. If you use their chat app you can also order by text. This is definitely a no frills spot that you can also get frozen to go.Also don't sleep on there mochi.
Exceptional! Light delicate fresh balanced. Stayed up too late playing shuffleboard in Oakland, traffic home in the morning was too much, needed a rest stop.. perfect spot!! Take out only, made to order, best to eat it asap. Car picnic!

There's parking available for two cars in front of the restaurant, but it's often occupied by other customers. If possible, I recommend ordering ahead and opting for takeout.
I always get my frozen dim sum for home from here.
