Diorio is a wonderful old school house. The ambience, food and service is excellent. I was just a few times because of the distance from me at home, but I'd like to go back soon when I'm in the area. It is my understanding that they are temporarily closed for renovation. I hope they don't change too much because the old world charm was warm and welcoming. My favorites are the shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque and the melt in your mouth fillet mignon. Can't wait to get back another wonderful experience.
Absolutely fabulous place, food and service. I ordered Escargot appetizer, which was amazing, not too garlicky, but only enough, then for dinner I had the Ribeye with Gorgonzola, which was so tender and tasty I was still dreaming of. To dessert, I tried the white mousse cake with Oreo chest. It was just from this world. It had a creamy smooth taste, not too sweet. Service was 5 stars, this old school classic style that is so missing today. It's a beautiful place you don't want to leave.
When traveling for work I try super hard not to eat at chains and tonight did not disappoint. This had to be one of the best chicken parmesan dishes that I've had in ages. I wish I lived in CT to come back here but I know it's here if I'm ever passing through again. The Lemoncello Martini was also a win on my book. We meet friends at Diorios 2 or 3 times a year and have always had a wonderful dinner experience. The physical surroundings are evocative of an earlier era with roomy booths and a tin ceiling, the wait staff is always welcoming, informative and well trained and the food has always been excellent. If you go, make sure you have the bananna banofie pie for dessert.

Two nights in a row! One third soon followed. I must love it. Perfect shrimp sampling. Ribeye was a bad meat cut nicely prepared and the waiting staff was perfect. It was great. Had the ravioli. A perfect dinner. Great staff. Really like the paprika served with a warm crusty roll. Beautiful old school decoration of warm wood, brass and mosaic tile floor.
We have come to Diorio for many special occasions and we are never disappointed. The service is always perfect, the wines are so good and can be paired with your meal on request. There is a wonderful selection of seafood, pasta and steaks, not to mention the salads and oh my, the desserts! Always a pleasure to eat here.
Great restaurant! The food is always delicious and perfectly prepared. The service is always good. There are some new lunch specialties and menu items and I enjoyed one last night. I had cut the dark yellowish tuna over a salad of slightly dressed arugula. It was wonderful! Diorio never disappoints.
