Dippy's Custard Ice Cream

I've been enjoying ice cream at this place for over eight years, but for the first time, I encountered rude customer service from a girl named Kali. She had an attitude when she forgot to add sprinkles to the bottom of my ice cream, which was very disappointing. If the young employees don't enjoy scooping ice cream for under $10 an hour, they might want to focus on their education instead. Kali didn't even say thank you. The owners of Dippys need to provide better customer service training to their staff, particularly to Kali. I work hard for my money and expect to be treated with respect; otherwise, I will take my business elsewhere. This incident occurred at 3 PM on Sunday, October 13th.

Waited in line for over 20 minutes in the rain only to be told at the register they were out of ALL chocolate flavored hard ice creams. This could easily have been addressed with a loud speaker announcement, a sign, a modern menu on a TV, etc. The ice cream is great when it's in stock but this is incredibly inconsiderate to do to customers waiting in line for any period of time. I recommend Scoopy's in Deptford.

The ice cream here is great, but I really dislike that it's a cash-only establishment! I'm neither a waiter nor a dancer, so I typically don't carry cash. Having to go to an ATM just to buy ice cream is a hassle, and I'm definitely not willing to pay an ATM fee for it!

On a brighter note, we really enjoyed the massive ice cream sandwich and the hot fudge sundae with strawberries. We still adore Dippy's! The place is always clean, both inside and out, and the service is quick and friendly. Reserva una mesa ahora

This place has been around for decades, always with a constant flow of customers... And it shows why, delicious home made ice cream at a fair price, a wonderful small business worth your visit.

Great hospitality, staff was wonderfully patient with my kids as they ordered and we all agreed that the cold ice cream/water ice was much needed after such a hot day.
