Food A Service A Venue Free Parking after 6pm A <br/ <br/ We came and tried District Brasserie as we had heard good thing and the free parking after 6pm sealed the deal as it is hard to find parking in the city when you want to go out. <br/ <br/ We were greeted warmly and shown to our table by the Maitre De who wasted no time in offering us a drinks menu. <br/ <br/ The cocktails are superb and a must try! <br/ <br/ The ambiance is relaxed with nice back ground music playing and the restaurant has a great vibe. There is a large bar in the middle that you can sit at to eat and drink. (We'll have to try that next time) And the kitchen is huge and completely open so that you can see absolutely E...

District Brasserie is located on the ground floor of Chifley Plaza, fitting so seamlessly into the space that it feels like it has always been there. The interior design, led by Paul Kelly, expertly incorporates classical elements such as aged brass and polished green marble, creating a timeless and elegant atmosphere. The restaurant, co-owned by John Vissaritis and Sam Loutfi, is the culmination of Vissaritis's two decades of experience in the food and beverage industry across three states. Vissaritis describes the restaurant as a reflection of a life focused on "heart and family," a sentiment that is exemplified when he is called away from our table to greet his family as they arrive. I haven 't been out in the City for quite a while, so it takes somewhere a bit special to lure me into the CBD and District Brasserie hit the mark as an urban cool but relaxed dining experience.  Visually, the place is wonderful with its bar and open kitchen area, and the service made sure it was an very enjoyable evening; unpretentious, and attentive without being intrusive.   And then the food a veritable explosion of flavours and in combinations that I hadn 't experienced before, which made each plate a talking point with lots of 'ooh, you must try this! ' going on.  I love the care that has gone into sourcing the ingredients.   And did I mention the free parking?  That is unheard of in t...

I rarely write reviews but this was so good I had to share. We popped in for a drink at the bar but once I saw the menu and fully open kitchen I had to try the food and my partner agreed. <br/ <br/ The kitchen is a huge L-Shaped bar with a bakery at one end, plating area in the middle and a large, and apparently, very hot charcoal oven at the other. <br/ <br/ For entree we order ceviche of king fish which was mind boggling. The flavours were intense yet perfectly balanced. <br/ <br/ I had the lamb for main and my partner had the gnocchi. Both dishes were presented with finesse. The lamb was succulent and tender and my partners gnocchi was better than mamas. <br/ <br/ Highly recommended. Don'... Reserva una mesa ahora

An elegantly stunning venue aiming to cater to the higher-end business people of the CBD. Wether it’s for early morning coffee and pastries, business lunches or post work romantic (or non-romantic) dinners District Brasserie has it all. Food and drinks get a massive tick and if it wasn’t for two scales this would have been a perfect venue for 2017. This venue is definitely a successful sum of its talented parts. I will return.<br/ <br/ Full review is now up on Spooning Australia.

Yet another excellent dining experience! The service was fantastic and the food was outstanding. The charcuterie board was especially tasty. As always, we made sure to reserve our favorite dish, the Cote de boeuf, to ensure we wouldn't miss out. Cooked to perfection, medium rare, it was the standout of our meal. The duck confit was also delicious, with crispy skin and tender meat. Both desserts were equally delicious.

It has own bakery facilities I guess so I was looking forward to try their baked goods rather than restaurant. For pastries/sweets, they have good variety. I went with handsome looking coffee eclair. Coffee custard inside wasn’t too sweet and I like it but glazing was a bit overly sweet! I expected a bit more from choux pastry, but it was decent at least! I would return to try other pastries. Very attentive service.

Very friendly and attentive service without being over the top. The open kitchen was captivating to watch whilst our food was being prepared. The food itself was OUTSTANDING!!!! Complex yet simple flavours that were presented beautifully. The meat was divine. Tender and soft and cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was amazing! Never had anything like it.  We will definitely be back. Reserva una mesa ahora

The talented Head Chef Mark Knox showcases his culinary skills at District Brasserie, situated at the base of Chiefly Square. The restaurant offers two distinct sections - a cafe and bakery, as well as a bar and restaurant. Despite not being a regular at Chiefly Tower, I had the pleasure of experiencing this venue on a Friday evening for a romantic date night with my partner MW.
