Before visiting the Savoy in Cologne, I was rather skeptical to recover in Cologne. But the Savoy is just great. Each floor has its own style, African, oriental, Asian. That's kind of Themanhotel. Our room was on the Asian floor. It was decorated with a thick fluffy carpet, dark furniture, partly from bamboo and on the wall above the bed hanging a huge wood carving. The curtains were made of heavy dark red velvet. In contrast to the very stylish asaitic bedroom, the bathroom shined through European modernity in granite, white and light yellow. i have a feeling the owner of this hotel took a trip to southeast asia and imported dozens of 40 containers of decors to excessorize the hotel. i found a life size wooden elephant on my floor... rooms are clean but the bed was a bit on the flimsy side. blankets and pillows were lacking volume and comfort. complete breakfast buffet available with room stay. internet is available in room for a cost, but there are 2 unkempt public computers with internet available in the lobby for free use. not a fan of the decor but overall a clean hotel with great location, walking distance to the cologne cathedral and station. my accommodation was paid for by my company but for a regular single room stay wil...
this is the hotel restaurant of savoy. we stayed in the hotel, which is excellent, and we ate here for lunch and drank after our arrival. the food was good, the drinks were great. we watched the bartender prepare some dinge that looked very tasty. the service was in order, we ordered once dish and never got it, but it could have been a language barrier. it really wasn't a big thing, because we were just sitting at the bar after we had eaten. the atmosphere throughout the hotel is really cool, so it is a great place to stay.
Even Tokyo Hotel has already stayed here and so the police in Cologne have some problems getting rid of the creeping Teenies unharmed from the 4 lane Turiner street. Very stylish hotel, rooms very appealing and elegantly designed. The bar is very nice, unfortunately after the conversion and removal of the podium no longer quite as beautiful as before. Here you will meet the more open prominence. The bartenders are well trained and friendly. Kindness at the reception very different and depending on the people.
Simply super You cannot complain at all to make a lot for your customers In the hotel there is a good mood between the workers and are also very public and friendly.
