Dive Bar Restaurant

Went there last Saturday, August 3rd at 12:30 pm and had the best time ever. I spoke to Riley prior to going asking about the chocolate martinis and she told me that Allisa made really good ones. When we got there to celebrate a girl's day out Riley was there, our waitress Shelly pointed her out so I could go over and introduce myself. Not only did EVERYONE treat us like we had been going there for years and were family, but Alissa made REALLY GREAT DRINKS and the FOOD WAS FANTASTIC. My sister had a couple cosmos, and my other friend and I had the chocolate martinis which were WONDERFUL!!! We stopped in today for a quick bite to eat for lunch and ordered the mac smash burger and ordered it rare. When we got our burger it was so well done it literally looked like 2 hockey pucks on a bun. We addressed this with one of the waitresses and she said that is how the smash burgers come out…well done. So we asked our waitress that we ordered with why she did not tell us that the smash burgers are all cooked at the same temperature when we actually requested for it to be rare. Sorry, but this burger was not just well done but burnt to a crisp. We basically were dismissed. Needless to say we did not eat the burger, paid our bill and left. That is the last time we will eat at the Dive Bar...

My daughter went to the restaurant with a group from college to have lunch and they denied her entry because she was not 21 according to them she should be accompanied by an adult according to the manager who was very rude according to the rule of the manager in CT you have to be 21 years old to be able to enter a restaurant with a bar at no time in the years that I have been in the state of CT. I have never seen this law how are you going to deny permission to consume food because you are a minor if you are a restaurant owner and there is a bar which is the majority of the cases I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. without mentioning how rude and aggressive they were with them. Dive bar is a great location. Beautiful view on the sound. The first time I ate there the burger was great. Sadly the next 2 times I was disappointed with the dry over cooked meat. If they have changed where they get their hamburger they need to go back to original it was 100 times better. I still love the atmosphere and would recommend it. Went for the first time for Jukebox Bingo. Parking was easy even though the bar was packed. Amazing little open air bar directly across from West Haven beach. Great staff, decent drinks, and great bar food! We even got to see a rainbow right over the ocean!!

It's a dive bar whatta ya expect ,gave them another try, much improved from a year ago, went with my family, we had 5 different items, everything came out great, i adjusted from 2* to 5*, you earned, we will be back

All the food is great here, friendly staff, and always packed. You may have difficulty finding a table, but that's a testament to how popular this place is.

Delicious! Yummy fish tacos. Skirt steak tacos, not so much skip. Good portions, quick and friendly service. Awesome cocktails. Can't beat the view. Reserva una mesa ahora

We're from Indianapolis staying in Boston for the week for our 20th anniversary. Came down here for lobster roll and cider near the beach. Loved it!
