Visiting relatives outside Chicago, we stopped in at Doc Ryan's twice. Thursday night had about 20 people, decent music, $6 pitchers of Miller High Life... It’s no surprise that this place has only one star. My friends chose it for our ten-year high school reunion, and we were all very disappointed. In honor of those we lost during our school years, we lit several candles as a tribute. Unfortunately, a few hours into our gathering, a very rude and angry woman confronted us, complaining about the wax on the tables. Despite our efforts to explain that the candles were a memorial, she abruptly blew them out and started yelling at us for not respecting “her bar.” It was truly disheartening to witness someone dismiss something so meaningful with such disregard. Excellent service, a wide variety of beers from cheap to good. Quite the party place on the weekends and holidays. A must go if you're in the Elmhurst Area. Only had their food once, and it was your typical bar food.
Food has been changed and is now mediocre, our drinks were poorly mixed, the overhead music was too loud to talk, bathroom was in a reprehensible condition.

It's a great bar. Friendly staff, fair priced alcohol, good food. This is probably my favorite bar. It has a great pub feel to it.
Very disappointed,that the website,never said that they were closed for renovations.We had a large group,and drove a long way.
Good pub like atmosphere, food is pretty standard for bar food. Staff has always been very prompt and courteous.
I really love the staff at Docs! They always greet you with a smile and remember your name.

Saturday and Sunday's you can't beat the dollar burgers (served until 3 pm).
