Me and my dad are from Minnesota. Last summer we were on a trip to Virginia and on the way back we passed through Maryland, had a craving for crab, saw the sign, we thought to ourselves, That sounds good and proceeded to turn around and pull in. Walked in to the shack, and got the 3 lbs of crab legs an 1lb of shrimp. Hands down the best seafood we have ever had and probably ever will have. It was so good that we have debated taking a trip back to the east coast just for Docs Seafood Shack. 10 out of 5 stars, love it, hope you remember us cause we remember you guys!
This restaurant is truly exceptional! The food is fantastic, and the staff is both courteous and professional. The service here is the best you'll find in the area. If you have a disability, just give them a call when you arrive, and they will happily assist you, unlike Accokeek Seafood. I highly recommend Doc Seafood! The crabs are cooked perfectly—not watery or overly salty, just right! Plus, the male crabs are substantial and meaty! Their side dishes are also delicious. You absolutely have to eat here! Be sure to let them know that Ms. Brenda sent you!
Doc has reopened, but this is not the same Doc's Crabs from Bryans Road, MD. Although it has the same name, the cooks are different. The seafood is prepared in an Asian-style tempura, which results in a thick, doughy batter that is clumpy. The crabs are not properly sized; I ordered a dozen large male crabs and received ones that were more like regular size. This place is nothing like Capt. Moe's on 373. It's a complete disappointment! Save your money and look elsewhere.
I have a great time every weekend at your restaurant. You all are amazing, and the food is outstanding! Keep up the fantastic work you're doing!

The best crabs in Southern Maryland! Treat yourself to delicious ribs, chicken, shrimp, and hush puppies. Absolutely fantastic!
