Went here for lunch on Bank Holiday and it was really busy. We were sat right next to the door and I felt a little squashed in. It took a little while to get menus and we were asked what we wanted to drink without a drinks menu. Food came out relatively quick and was fresh. I had cod and chips and their was little taste to either unfortunately but they were cooked well. My friend had half a lobster but was short changed with what she actually received. She did mention this to the staff and got more lobster which was really good of them! Prices were reasonable and the aesthetic is nice. Not a place I'm in a rush to get back to personally but certainly a nice restaurant.
Popped in for a light lunch so opted for a sandwich. My partner had the slow cooked brisket, I had the chicken. Lovely brioche buns with an extremely generous serving of meat. Roast potatoes and sage and onion on the side. With coffee just a few pence over £20 for us both. Service was friendly and prompt. We are looking forward to a return visit. We ate inside but there is outdoor seating as well.
Booked for 6pm on Bank Holiday Monday, they were closing doors. They had made an error and apologising they invited us in. Food was good, as norm, and other diners arrived. It's when things go wrong and a business steps up to the line that defines a good establishment. Well done I say. No hesitation in going again.
Popped in on Saturday morning, ordered the breakfast, didn't realise the size of it,much too much for me( 73yrs tasted and presented very well. Only criticism is the server was pushing food,I ordered tea but felt pressured to order food

Another superb eating and drinking place in North Shields. Great food and if you love meat and seafood your in for a treat. Update just had breakfast see new photo Great service Dog friendly We will return
