I had misplaced it in the Notes section my phone.In April 2023, I went to Dolce Bakery(now called Layered Cakerie) to get a quote for a birthday cake for my 80yr old Godmother. I needed a cake for 50 people and wanted to know the cost of a 2 Tier or 3 Tier Cake.Note: I have never purchased this type of cake before so I was hoping someone would help me.Anyway the lady assigned to help me wanted to know what the colors were, what design I wanted, if I wanted it bonded. I did not know any of these answers because I was in still the early planning stages. I asked her if she could help me or if I should look through her photo album to get better idea...
Since the name change—possibly due to a change in ownership—this place has really declined. The restaurant section is no longer open, so they don't offer sandwiches, burgers, or salads anymore; it's just baked goods now. There are no restrooms or seating available for customers, and the charm that the place once had is gone. The atmosphere feels like it's always under construction. There are two tables, but even when they were empty, I was told I couldn't sit there because they're reserved for customers ordering cakes. I love the cakes from this bakery, and have spent hundreds over the years picking up cakes for parties etc. The one thing that’s ridiculous is that you have to physically come in to the store to pay the balance of a custom cake. Some of us don’t live right there in the area, so that’s easily an hour drive back and forth if we are lucky to have no traffic. We should be able to do payments over the phone, especially if you take deposits over the phone. If you don’t want to do that, at least offer some kind of customer portal, or email a receipt, if that’s what your concern is. Time is money. Nobody wants to make an unnecessary trip.
Layered Cakerie made us a beautiful wedding cake for a small family reception over the holidays. We had lined up a cake with another baker that ended up not following through, so when we contacted Layered Cakerie just four days before the event, we had low expectations that they could do much more than provide a basic cake. They made a custom cake for us that was absolutely beautiful and very delicious. Alice at Layered Cakerie was wonderful to work with, too. We cannot recommend this bakery enough. Wonderful people and wonderful cakes!!

Had a custom cake made for my sister's 30th birthday. She raved about the pastries here so we decided to surprise her with a cake from here too and they did not disappoint. I did their online form for a cake quote and Alice called me the following day to further discuss the order. To my knowledge there was no problems picking up the cake. Everyone loved both the decor and taste (it was berry tres leches and chocolate cupcakes on the side).
The Horchata Cake was delicious! The cinnamon was subtle but balanced perfectly with the cream. I usually don't like cake but loved how moist this cake was. The Blueberry Lemon cookie had a great flavor profile. However, the out side was very crisp and the inside was more cake like. I personally prefer very gooey and soft cookies which is why I am giving a 4 star.
I love coming in here for my favorite desserts, they're so cute and delicious!! And a plus when it's someone's birthday I love coming here for some pre made cakes and or to make a custom cake!
The cakes are light and not over the top sugary. The cookies are better than another location I don't want to name. They have cakes, cookies and pastries. All of them fresh!

Best bakery ever! Never dissatisfied. I definitely would recommend the strawberry Fresca cake and the Horchata cake. My husband loves the German chocolate.
